Hey there! I’m Allyson Golden, and welcome to the Words Are Golden Podcast. I hope that as you listen, the Spirit will open your eyes and deepen your understanding of Scripture in new ways. If you’re hungry for Truth that transforms and not just “feel-good” faith, then this podcast is for you. I am an author, Bible-teacher, seminary student, dog mom, and your new friend, who gets how noisy the world can feel. I know how we have advice and opinions coming at us at all times. My heart is to remind you of God’s word that is alive and active and applicable to every moment of our lives, from the ordinary to the really hard stuff. 1 Peter 4 - Being Stewards of God’s Grace in Every Season
In this episode, Allyson walks through 1 Peter 4 and talks about what it looks like to live faithfully with the gifts God has given us. Peter reminds us that each of us has received spiritual gifts meant to serve others and glorify God — so we can take time to ask Him what those gifts are and how we can intentionally use them in our daily lives. We also look at the beauty and power of hospitality, how opening our homes and hearts can reflect Jesus to a weary world. The episode closes with the theme woven throughout 1 Peter — suffering well. We remember that our suffering isn’t wasted but has purpose in God’s hands, shaping us and pointing others to the hope we have in Christ.
